The NHS Foundation Trust, providing first class services at Warrington Hospital, Halton General Hospital and the Cheshire and Merseyside Treatment Centre in the North West of England, required dedicated, specialist support for its inhouse communications team to help meet its ongoing community engagement and fundraising goals.
Our client team comprised of public relations specialists that had extensive experience of working in the healthcare sector. One of the team had previously worked in the communications team at Alder Hey and NHS Lancashire, meaning they could hit the ground running.
Our specialists worked on and off site several days a week with the inhouse team, delivering a wide variety of internal and external communications campaigns. Work also included the development and organisation of a CMTC open day to coincide with the AGM. Patient and public engagement events, local school engagement activity to highlight some of the innovation and service delivery within the Trust in specific areas including Cardiology/SmartHeart and the development of a communications strategy to support the opening of the new £1.5million planned Birth Centre. The team also assisted with the production of an hour-long Sky News documentary from the hospital at the height of the Covid-19 crisis.
